Portrait Painting in Oil

Service Description

In this course we'll cover the materials, color mixing, and the process of creating a portrait in oil. We'll start with the more traditional process of "indirect" painting, and then move on to "direct" painting. We'll also cover topics like glazing and varnishing. It's recommended that you have a strong portrait drawing foundation before taking this course. If you don't have that training I offer those courses as well. The concepts will take multiple sessions to fully cover, but you can book sessions at your convenience and we can pick up wherever we left off.
